About Us

Your golden years are meant to be relaxing and carefree. That’s why we created Suitebird—a navigation tool to simplify the search process and take the stress away from finding your next forever home.

Who We Are

Created by a team with almost 40 years experience in the seniors industry, our leadership team noticed the difficulty that families and seniors were having figuring out what was available to them to rent or buy in retirement. Whether it was old listings that didn’t exist anymore, postings with no price information, or even postings that had the wrong information or no contact information, we decided it was time for a change.

We created Suitebird—a real time navigation tool that connects seniors and their families to real personal guides ready to help them find their forever home. Best of all, our services are 100% free to you and you are able to connect with a real person from the start.

The best part? No more wasting time answering 50 questions per location only to be told you will be contacted in 7–10 business days and never hearing back.

Leadership Team

John Pray

Co-founder

John has been engaged in the senior’s housing/care field since 1995 with senior positions with the public, not-for-profit and private seniors housing providers throughout a very successful career. His most recent role before retirement was being the CEO for almost 20 years at the Shepherd’s Care Foundation.

John has a “servant’s heart” and one of the most rewarding times “in the job” was always helping families navigate a complex seniors housing and care continuum to find the right place for Mom or Dad.

Over the years, John was always engaged in leadership roles on a variety of Seniors focused Boards such as the Alberta Senior Citizens Housing Association (ASCHA), Alberta Continuing Care Association (ACCA) (Chair of the Board in 2016-2018), Christian Health Association of Alberta (CHAA), and was the inaugural Chair of the Continuing Care Safety Association (CCSA).  Along the way there was always involvement with Alberta Seniors and Alberta Health on key visionary committees looking at the future of seniors housing/care in Alberta.

Ankit Anand

Co-founder

Ankit has been engaged in the senior’s housing/care field since 2015 and currently serves as the CEO of Sterling Health, a nursing relief organization with partner facilities throughout Alberta. During his career, he has also consulted with various senior housing organizations throughout Alberta to assist with their succession planning and management recruitment.

Though being heavily involved in the management and strategic planning of these facilities, Ankit never really understood how difficult it was for a new family or senior to find their “perfect place” when it was time to transition to a new home. It wasn’t until his parents asked him to help them find a retirement community that Ankit realized the challenges that come with making this change. This uncertainty and lack of information available resulted in the creation of the navigation tool Suitebird.

In a world that has become more dependent on technology and AI, we want to stay dependent on human interaction.
